News, Stickers & Long Overdue Update

The last post talked about getting ready for a busy 2012. Good lord, it has been extremely busy, which explains why I’ve been late on an update — very late, for that matter.

Might as well make up for lost time. Right?

Since the last update, a lot has happened. First, on a personal front, Your BFF relocated to Phoenix. I was presented with an opportunity and an offer too good to refuse. The move was strictly business, as it is further advancing both the career and The Bam Theory itself. Now, I’m only six hours away from Hollywood, where all the magic happens (or so they say — dun, dun dun). Meant to be? I’d like to think so.

That convenience has definitely helped thus far and will serve to be beneficial in the future. We continue to have talks with folks about The Bam Theory and the pitch film, but like everything, it’ll take time. Simply put, the right situation hasn’t presented itself just yet. Until it does, the talks and conversations will continue.

I will say … I’m feeling very, very positive about what lies ahead for The Bam Theory. Very, very positive :)

In other news, everyone has hounded me about stickers, stickers … and stickers. Have no worries: I just ordered another box of stickers for The Bam Theory and will be mailing them out in the coming weeks.

To get the stickers, SEND me an EMAIL to BearFrazer@hotmail.com, and I will put a handful in the mail once they arrive.

Also, I am entirely aware we have a lot of new people following The Bam Theory now. Let me be the first to say, “Welcome aboard.”

In the weeks ahead, I will recap everything that’s been going on and how The Bam Theory even came to be. It’ll be a quick trip down memory lane to update everyone, as well as give insight into the absolute importance of this film and why I, like many others, believe this is going to be one of the biggest MMA, let alone SPORTS, Movie Franchises the world will ever see.

So get ready and buckle up. This adventure is really just beginning, folks.

Reflecting On 2011, Getting Ready For Busy 2012

2011 has been incredible. A tremendous amount of ground has been covered with The Bam Theory and we couldn’t be any prouder. We shot and edited the entire pitch film, our following has steadily progressed, and the movie was featured in several national television programs, daily newspapers and online publications.

With that said, we just want to give thanks to everyone who has been a part of this movement — from the actors, camera crew and production assistants who froze during the long winter days of the shoot all the way to the people who have supported us over the past year. Many, many thanks to everyone who has and continues to support The Bam Theory.

The ground work has been laid and we’ve received quite a bit of recognition. That said, 2012 is about to kick off with a bang. Believe it.

Get ready. Big things are about to happen.

Check out the “Behind-The-Scenes” photo gallery here … and stay tuned.

There’s lots of stuff going on with The Bam Theory, but we’ll talk about that at another time. For now, we’d like to shed light on something else.

Last month, we lost a brother.

Jeff Rhoden, a fixture in the Lynchburg MMA community, tragically passed away on August 1st, 2011. Rhoden was a fitness trainer, but more importantly, he was an extraordinary individual who touched many lives.

He helped friends through their respective trials and tribulations, instilled a strong sense of self-confidence in people, and got folks into shape, as well as helped them to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

In addition to leaving behind countless of friends, Rhoden is survived by his lovely 5-year-old daughter Reagan, his mother Lois, his sister Lori Scott and her husband Tim, his nieces Chelsey, Michaela and Erika Scott, his nephew Ryan Scott. He is also survived by a large extended family.

To commemorate Rhoden’s life, a trust fund has been launched and all of the proceeds will benefit his daughter Reagan.

Checks can be made out to:

Edmunds & Williams, P.C.

Bank of the James Building

828 Main Street, 19th Floor

Lynchburg, Virginia 24504

(In the memo, write “Irrevocable Trust F/B/O Regan Olivia - Lou Davis)

Money orders and all other moneys can be made out to:

Charles Spangler

P.O. Box 15026

Lynchburg, VA 24502

(In the memo, write “Irrevocable Trust F/B/O Regan Olivia - Lou Davis)

Every little bit helps.

May the great Jeff Rhoden rest in peace.
